Weather in Zambia!

There are three main seasons in Zambia: the dry season, from April to August when the land is green and lush; the hot season, from September to October which is the best season for wildlife viewing; and the wet season, from November to March when some national parks are closed, some roads are closed and animals are hard to spot, but rates are good and you basically have the parks to yourself.

Temperatures average around 29 to 30°C (84-86°F) during the day with quite cold nights throughout the year. Overall temperatures are slightly cooler in the middle of the year, which, along with little rainfall, make quite a pleasant time to visit.

Zambia's climate is tropical, with some variations at different elevations. According to the Köppen climate classification, the country can be divided into tropical wet, humid subtropical, and dry, with small areas in the southwest and along the Zambezi valley having a semi-arid steppe climate.
